Terms of Service

Last updated 31 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Sharebook. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them — they explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

1. The service

Sharebook is a tool for business partners to record shared finances, split profit by ownership share, and settle balances between partners. It helps you organise and compute figures from the data you enter; it does not move money, hold funds, or act as a bank, payment processor, or escrow.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You must be authorised to record and share the financial information of any business you add to Sharebook.
  • Notify us promptly at parthpvaghani@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Your data and responsibilities

  • You and your partners own the data you enter. You are responsible for its accuracy and completeness.
  • Sharebook computes splits and settlements from that data; the results are only as correct as the entries and shares you provide.
  • You are responsible for how you and your partners use the figures Sharebook produces, including any transfers you choose to make.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Sharebook for any unlawful purpose, including fraud, money laundering, or tax evasion.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Disrupt or overload the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without permission.
  • Upload malicious code or infringe others’ rights.

5. Not financial, legal, or tax advice

Sharebook is a record-keeping and calculation tool. It does not provide financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice. You should consult a qualified professional before relying on any figures for tax filings, statutory accounts, or partnership agreements.

6. Availability

We work to keep Sharebook available and reliable, and we back up your data. However, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance or update features from time to time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sharebook and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from disputes between partners, inaccurate data entry, or reliance on computed figures. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

You may stop using Sharebook and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or if required to protect the service or other users. Where financial records are shared across a partnership, some data may remain accessible to the other partners after your account is closed.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
